LECTURER

Dipl.-Ing. Stefanie Holzheu, Dr. Sang Lee
Dipl.-Ing. Stefanie Holzheu is a media architect, creative technologist and lab manager of Prototype Showcase of the Futurium Lab and the Open Lab Night, an informal learning program at Futurium Berlin. She explores the boundaries between design and material environment with a focus on functional aspects of intelligent spaces, new interactivity in space and innovative information systems. She develops and offers bespoke workshops and courses for various companies, organisations and groups, such as ReDI and Cisco Systems. She taught architectural design and media at Technische Universität Berlin, Bergen School of Architecture, and Bauhaus University Weimar.

Dr. Sang Lee is an architect with a Ph.D. in architecture. He is a tenured University Docent at TU Delft, Netherlands, where he teaches architecture and sustainable design. He has also taught and given lectures on architecture and sustainability at several universities in the EU and the US. Dr. Lee has contributed numerous papers and chapters to international conferences, journals, and books, including the widely cited “Aesthetics of Sustainable Architecture” (2011). For more than a decade, Dr. Lee has expanded his research on the concepts and practices of sustainability to include a wider range of applications beyond architecture. He believes that architecture is the fundamental basis for sustainability since the majority of our material world is concentrated in buildings and cities with complex user experiences. Based on his expertise as an architect, Dr. Lee's courses offer effective topics and applications that are highly relevant to the development of products and services in general.
