DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION – AT WORK

Digital technologies permeate all facets of the work context and lead to significant changes. These changes require deliberate action to use digital technologies efficiently and effectively to improve the work environment, work flexibility, job satisfaction, and job performance. The offered course provides the necessary knowledge to be able to shape the digital transformation in the best possible way in the work context.

Learning goals

After successful completion of the course, participants will be familiar with the social challenges associated with the introduction of digital technologies into the world of work. These include the management and organization of new digital forms of communication, some of which are asymmetrical, the unmanageable abundance of data and information, and new digital forms of team management. Furthermore, participants will be able to assess the meaningfulness of scientific results based on Big Data/ Artificial Intelligence and to work with them. They have an overview of methods such as design thinking and are able to transfer life design, positive psychology and positive business into their daily management practice.

The course includes various contents taught in the form of short lectures, seminars and group work in a blended learning format. At the end of the program, participants present their ideas in front of a qualified transdisciplinary audience (early-stage investors*, incubators, academics, NGOs, policy makers, etc.) and receive valuable feedback for the next steps in developing their ideas and business plans. Participants who have developed a technology-based business plan can apply to the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Technische Universität Berlin for inclusion in the incubation process.
