CRITICAL SUSTAINABILITY
28.09.2023 – 10.11.2023

This course aims to provide participants with the competence to uncover the complex interconnectedness of their social, political, ecological and economic environment. It takes into account different values, interests and needs both from a global perspective and within the confines of a seminar room. The course concept promotes democratic decision-making in order to reflect on and define problems within the course and beyond, and to address them through one's own actions.

Learning goals

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to analyze and evaluate, in a democratic process, the current reciprocal relationships between technology, the individual, nature, society and democracy. They will have a deep understanding of sustainability and democracy and know how to take action on an individual and collective level to help shape their immediate personal and professional environments.

Content

  • Perception of one's own social, political, ecological and economic environment
  • Promotion of democratic decision-making with the aim of reflecting on and defining problems and addressing them through one's own actions
